first post!

This is just a test post to see if this really works...
What to expect from such a blogg?
there is going to be a lot of ranting, but there is going to be once in a while an analysis of the situation in North Africa.
For too long, North Africa has been considered as a component of the greater Middle East, yet the forces that shape the region, from its geopolitics to its history. The Maghreb stands a the crossroads between the Mediterranean Europe, the African Continent, and the Near East.  
The recent intervention in Libya is a clear reminder that this geographic region that stretches from Marrakesh to Benghazi is not to be overlooked by policymakers and those interested in the shifting world
